Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Guests rave about the mouthwatering battered sausage, often described as the tastiest around. The kids’ meals, served in adorable buckets with spades, bring joy to families and provide a fun dining experience. Many patrons appreciate the restaurant's clean and colorful decor, creating an inviting atmosphere. The selection of teas is also a highlight. Regulars and newcomers alike enjoy the attentive service, often noting that staff members are friendly and welcoming. The quick meal turnaround is perfect for those filled with energy from a day at the beach.

Most Disliked

While most reviews are positive, some diners have mentioned longer wait times during peak hours, particularly on Saturdays. A few customers have expressed that the menu could benefit from more adventurous options. The restaurant can get busy, especially during lunch rushes on Saturdays, which may lead to a less relaxed dining experience for some. Also, occasional mentions of higher prices for select items suggest a need for budget-conscious diners to be aware of their selections. Nonetheless, these comments do little to overshadow the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

Had a platter for lunch today and it was very good! I must say the battered sausage was one of the tastiest I have ever had. The platter also came with a fishcake, piece of haddock, chips and curry sauce (you could have also had beans). The chips were very nice too and cooked just right. Visiting from Canada and if I ever come this way again I will definitely stop by. The restaurant had a bright and colorful decor and the washrooms were clean.

Very nice place , well worth the wait for food on this cold day. All the food was cooked spot on and that goes for the chips .

A wonderful place, staff are friendly and welcoming, the drinks and food were served quick. The menu is small but sensible and has a variety of options from standard fish and chips to jacket potato, panini's and deserts etc. The kids meal even comes in a little cute bucket with a spade that you can take with you after.

Saw they offer gluten free and decided to try it out as my partner is coeliac. The food was really nice. The kids meal is brought in a brand new little bucket and spade which the child gets to keep which I thought was a nice little added extra.

Delicious food, staff service was impeccable. My son had an accident after we had eaten dinner and the staff was so helpful in assisting us, they got cold compresses, cold water, helped us calm down and gave us information on the closest A&E for some medical advice. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we cannot thank the staff enough for their help during the stress and panic from the accident.

Found this seaside gem on a day visit to Skegness yesterday. From the lovely welcome, high standards of cleanliness, good food at a good price to the attentive service of the staff, my friend and I couldn't fault it. ( Loved the quirky interior design too) Thank you

Visited on Saturday with my children. Can I just say how outstanding the whole experience was. Given how many people were in and queuing, the staff were exceptional and the service was brilliant. The food was great and the prices were reasonable as well. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a positive experience and credit to the staff members who were operating front of house on Saturday lunchtime (how all food service should be done).
